We set out from Seattle with a rented RV and headed to Whistler/Blackcomb for some fun. After a long delay at the border, for some reason a bunch of hippies from Oregon is a problem for the Mounted Patrol, we arrived at the parking lot in time for some drinks and a good night out. To our surprise there were plenty of other parking lot campers but none so organized as to have rented an RV. We partied the night away and brought the party back to the RV. Many of our camping brethren were so grateful as to have a warm place to hang out that we spent the rest of our evenings there drinking for free among other things. The skiing was fantastic but we were longing for something new.

We set out three days later for Missoula, Montana....once again after a slight delay at the border. Eight guys in an RV skiing for a few days is not the best smell in the world so upon our arrival, we showered at a good friends house. Once clean and feeling better we headed out to test the local flavor. After a quick stop at the video keno machine to get some cash for the night, we were off and running and the drink was flowing. I was the first to fall victim to the angry belly. For some reason, my friend ordered half yards to pound in the bar. After emptying my drink a little too quickly, I let loose...in the middle of the bar. I tried to stop it with my hand and ended up giving it the sprinkler effect, dousing my friends (serves em right). Immediately I was bounced and my friends decided I could wait while they enjoyed themselves longer (serves me right). After some time clearing my stomach in the alley my friends forgave me and we continued on with our night. By the time we got back to the house everybody was doing the same! We got up feeling happy that we had released because we were ready to ski! After three more days skiing, two injuries, one set of stitches we were sadly heading back to Seattle.

But we still had one more night staying at my brother's in Seattle before heading back to school. So the debauchery continued.....

Upon our return to Eugene, we all slept through our first two days of class and didn't return our parents calls. We could barely look at each other from the shame of it all. It was the best spring break ever.

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

I went on a cruise with my fiancee to the Bahamas, that was pretty sweet.

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

I was po', I never got a spring break trip. Spring Break trips. Last year, actually about May 5, three friends and I took a trip to the British Colombian mountains. It was beautiful, and we were there for the one un-rainy week of the season. It was the best time I've had with friends. We camped under the cedars, the stars, and the shadow of many a Bigfoot statue. We eventually made it to Bainbridge Island near Seattle and we stayed in my friend's grandparent's cabin. It was so green, so campfirey, so nice. Best week ever!

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

Camping on a small river in the MO Ozarks. Since my birthday generally falls during spring break, I was able to make it a dual purpose trip enjoying a break from school and a celebration of another year alive. Alas, I was 17 and there was no beard in sight for me. Don't get me wrong, there was shaving on this trip, but a beard was years in the future. We spent time hiking in the mountains, and relaxing the spa at night. With the chill in the air, some facial hair would have provided needed warmth. A Beard-Head would have been perfect. Imagine, the ease of being able to have the warmth at night and still get a tan during the hikes! Genius! Now I fondly look back to the time I could have a beard, as my wife is anti-facial hair, something about kissing sandpaper.

Please consider me a Beard-Head fan, consider me as someone who would love be sporting the manly facial hair, but chooses to keep harmony in the home. Consider me a winner so that when camping, I can be the bearded man I know I can be.

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

Great hat, even if you have a beard!

Best Spring Break trip ever would be heading down to Florida at the ripe old age of 16. Made the trek with friends from high school - first time we were allowed a trip on our own. Yes, there was plenty of chaos, but it was our first taste of independence. No one was injured or jailed, and we had a blast. That freedom was the best feeling in the world! (And we all lost our virginity that year - best trip ever.)

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

My college is at the beach. Haggle at the market and got a woven Mexican ham ac. Fresh Mexican spices and lots of mole. Lots of kids and pinatas. Exploring in an underground river/cave in the middle of the city and almost drowned my camera (I did absolutely kill it a couple of weeks later when a raft flipped as we whitewatered the Colorado in Utah). Habaneros. Tripe. Avoiding the water. Fresh fruit everyday in juices and shakes that absolutely cleaned out my system and left me on a Gatorade/banana/blueberry muffin diet for the week we returned just prior to said trip to Utah.

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

me and a bunch of budies in florida
fishing
football on the beach
hangin out and playin the guitar
good and relaxing in the sun

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

Can't say I've taken a very good spring break in awhile since we've had kids, but before then, I took a trip to Jamaica with a bunch of very good guy friends. We camped in local camp sites and spent three days hiking the trail. We hiked EVERYSINGLE trail (except for the one were we could see the arch from the road...it was only a .2 mile hike and the arch was fine from the road...) But we had lots of fun, came up with all sorts of archy jokes, and my roommate kissed a girl while looking at Delicate Arch, she fell madly in love with him, and now--almost three years later-- they are getting married. Best trip ever.

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

I just completed a move from Dallas, TX to Orange County, CA. I could have used this bear to keep me warm as I drove the U-Haul through some intensely cold weather without the bulk of a jacket. I'm sure the folks in that desolate New Mexico town where the local Walmart recommended I visit the neighboring K-Mart for a better, more affordable breakfast would have loved to see me stroll in wearing the full lumberjack-in-a-hat look we now loving refer to as The Beardhead!

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

My best spring break was a camping trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains. I need to see if my fiance will buy one so I can steal it -- yes I am a girl ho would love wearing a beard! :D Anyhoo, I'd have to say my best spring break was going to Mexico with my best friend. We're nerds, and we didn't go to party, but to see the Tulum ruins. Fun story: While walking through the ruins, we were getting all sweaty, and I wore jeans and she wore shorts. I was getting a tad warm, and her shorts were creeping up on her, and generally being uncomfortable. We found an abandoned area in the ruins, an inner temple fileld with bathtubs (??) and stripped down and exchanged clothes right there! lol I bet our guide did a double take when we found him again. Decided to go about an hour before I was on my way. We had no hotel reservations and hardly any money. The girl and I slept in the car and the others slept somewhere on the side of the road because they got themselves lost. We are woken up at 4:00 in the morning by a random guy that had decided to just hop in the car with us while we slept. I woke up to the girl hugging the steering wheel while she was being petted by the strange guy with the jamaican accent. I asked him to exit the vehicle and we relocated to sleep. We found the others walking down the road the next morning. They said they slept on a bench in some parking lot. It was an interesting trip that I will never forget.

Re: Beardhead Giveaway

Would love to have this for Whistler in time for Spring Break.
