    Thanks for the referral. I love what Daddy Brain has to say on helping your children make their own decisions. I think this is paramount for our kids to learn to fend for themselves. Even if you know they are making the wrong decision, if they are not going to get "too hurt" from their decision, it is theirs to own.

    I really enjoy this blog. You're definitely right - while it's imperfect now, those original ideals are something that should be honoured. I'm actually Canadian, but I still have respect for the people who founded your country.

    And hey, coincidental timing. It's Canada Day here, our own July 4th.

    @Kevin, it reminds me of the Montessori principles in a way.

    Thank you as always for featuring one of my posts... I also enjoyed Daddy Brain's post...Ithink we all have to find ways to empower our chiildren to make good decisions, though it is not always an easy job.

    Yet another day where I get no work done because I'm learning how to be a better man. Good work everyone, and thanks for including me Brett.

    "It took men of valor and virtue to take on and defeat the most powerful military in the world. Simply amazing."

    Absolutely. It also took an amazing level of French help.

    Have a great July 4th.

    @Denis-

    Very true. Of course we did repay the French the favor. Nonetheless, a point well taken.

    @ Brett : Indeed you did. Or, rather, your ancestors did - no offense meant, of course.
